Eggs are a Healthy Snack for Fido

I don't know about you, but I love eggs made in all kinds of ways. If you know a little bit of history you will remember dogs use to steal eggs from bird's nests and eat them raw along with the shell. This is probably still the case for some dogs.

Yeck! I have to say this is one way I do not like to eat eggs. You know how dogs are though, they usually like everything we like and much more than that.

I do not recommend feeding raw eggs at anytime. Reasons are:

• Prolonged feeding of raw egg whites can lead to  biotin deficiency. A deficiency in biotin leads to unhealthy skin, problems with digestion, metabolism and cells.

Most experts and vets agree cooking eggs before feeding to your dog plain, such as hard boiled eggs without salt and other seasonings is a tasty and nutritious treat for dogs.
