The Border Terrier is a small dog weighing from 11.5 to 15.5 pounds and standing from 11 to 16 inches at the shoulder. The easiest ways to recognize them apart from other terriers is the unique head shape called "otter head." They are also distinguished from other terriers by the longer legs.
