For some of us the hardest part of getting a new dog is giving he or she the perfect name. You really want to wait until you know your dog's personality before actually giving he or she a permanent name. I think it helps you remember the name if the name fits the dog's personality. For some of us older folks, remembering names of people starts to get difficult, and it happens with our dogs as well.
