He is usually easy to train, however, some may present you with stubborn independent streaks. He is vocal, but can be properly trained to not be too noisy and to happily mingle with other people and dogs.

Feed the German Spitz a high quality dog food such as those offered through Life's Abundance.

The German Spitz has a profuse double coat that sheds twice per year. Daily brushing is required along with a thorough grooming session once per week to keep mats and knots from forming. Use Life's Abundance Bath Fresh Mist to help untangle the hair as you brush and in between baths to keep him smelling fresh and clean. Bath Fresh Mist will also help keep the coat shiny.

Moderate regular exercise will be sufficient for your German Spitz. Take him or her on walks around the neighborhood or park. Provide a secure fenced in area for free romping and playing. He is beautiful to watch bouncing around in the yard.
