A Little Bit About the Zuchon

The Zuchon Designer dogs are half Bichon Frise and half Shih Tzu. They are also commonly known as "Teddy Bear Zuchon." Their are fluffy like teddy bears and oh so cute. This is a hybrid that is gaining much popularity in the United States especially.

They are clever, playful, love attention and make good companion dogs easily adapting to any kind of living arrangements. They make excellent apartment pets due to their smaller size. Both of these breeds, the Bichon Frise and the Shih Tzu are bred solely for loving companionship. They make good pets for children as well as adults.

This Teddy Bear look designer dog has been around now for about 10 years in the United States. They are usually small, about 10 to 12 inches in height and weighing about 9 to 13 pounds. In general they have fairly big expressive eyes, and short noses. This hybrid dog has an abundant and soft coat of hair that can be curly or wavy and might even grow moderately long if left not clipped. Colors are usually:

  • black
  • white
  • silver
  • grey
  • tan
  • cream
  • muli-colors of black and white, silver and white, tan and white, cream and white
As both these dogs, the Bichon Frise and Shih Tzu are highly intelligent, you can expect the Zuchon or "Shichon" to be easy to train as well.

  1. Hi,

I was a rep for Life’s Abundance for about a dozen years. I have lost many customers over the years because of Life’s Abundance’s inability to come up with an option for protein other than chicken. There are dogs and cats that cannot tolerate chicken or that get bored with the same food their entire life. Each time one of my customers reached out asking for a recommendation of another brand, I lost them as a customer. I started searching for another company that offered holistic products with a variety of proteins that had no recalls in their history. I found a company that has impressed me over and over again with their quality, variety, excellent customer service, AND much higher commissions. If you are interested in expanding your recommendations and earning more for doing the same work, let me know.
