Tips for Preventing Lyme Disease

People, dogs and cats can contract Lyme disease. Cats seldom get sick. Dogs are a different story altogether. Lyme bacterium can cause serious disease in some dogs. Be aware that ticks can fall off your cat to feed on people and other pets in your home. There are some simple steps you can follow to lessen the chances of you and your pets becoming infected.

  1. Mow your yard regularly.
  2. Pull all tall weeds and remove leaf litter.
  3. Ticks hide under shrubs and around the perimeter.
  4. Keep your outside trash cans secure to discourage wild animals who carry deer ticks.
Use a tick preventative treatment on your pet. Choose one that is vet recommended and safe for all animals in your house.
Check your animals on a daily basis. Feel for bumps. Part the hair or fur so you can see where roots touch their skin. Pay more attention to:
  • under the legs
  • around the neck
  • inside the ears
There is a canine Lyme vaccine that some research suggest appears to work well in preventing infection in dogs. Talk to your vet about this vaccine. It is still important to use tick preventative care even if you get the vaccine.
Protect yourself:
  • use repellent
  • shower after being outside
  • regularly check yourself for ticks as they can hop from pet to pet
Good grooming habits in general involve also keeping your dog or cat's ears clean. Life's Abundance distributes an excellent ear cleaner you might be interested in trying. When used regularly your pet will experience cleaner, healthier ears that always smell nice as well.

From the beginning, putting people first has been part of our DNA. We put employees first by making the company 100% employee owned. We put customers first by providing world class products and customer service. We put our Field Reps first by providing a compensation plan that is uniquely structured to be fair and scalable, whether you want to sell products to a group of friends or build a large organization. We don’t believe in binary compensation because it favors the corporation and large distributors.

COMPENSATION PLAN ADVANTAGES

Our compensation plan has no mandatory personal purchase requirements. We don't want you buying stuff you don't need. Additionally, approximately 75% of our revenue comes from people who order on a recurring basis. This is possible because we offer high quality, consumable products with superior customer service. We designed our compensation plan to reward you for this by paying out the highest percentage on customer purchases.
