The Chinook Breed was developed by Polar Explorer Arthur Treadwell
Walden during the early 1900's on his farm in Wanalancet New Hampshire.
The Chinook is muscular and substantially built. The males stand around 26 inches at the shoulder. The females have a distinctly feminine look and are a little smaller. The Chinnoks were dual-purpose haulers having the power of freighting dogs and the speed of sled racers. They have a look of dignity with a kind twinkle in their dark almond eyes.
Personality is patient, smart, willing to please and a devoted family dog. They are somewhat active, but not particularly busy dogs. They need consistent exercise.
